The ICEBERG Series

An iceberg begins with a snowflake.
A snowflake may come from far away, from one of the world's oceans where a droplet of water evaporates and is carried away with the winds into the atmosphere.
In the cold cloud layers the water vapour becomes an ice crystal. The ice crystal binds to other crystals and grows so heavy that it falls onto the glacier.

As time passes, the snowflake is compacted into ice, and as part of the great mass of ice begins its journey towards the glacier, where the ice breaks off in the form of an iceberg.
The iceberg melts, and the water droplet is returned to sea again.

The whole cycle begins again.

The series was shot in the eastern part of Greenland.

The photographs of the series are available as limited fine art prints.
