THE UNIVERSE WITHIN
*unpublished series*
The project explores with abstract photographs the human complex inner world of consciousness, thoughts, emotions, and potential that mirrors the cosmos.
It suggests interconnectedness, where our minds can create realities and hold the same fundamental elements as the universe itself.
It's a concept of exploring one's inner landscape as profoundly vast and mysterious as the cosmos, linked through shared origins and a systemic intelligence.
Each photograph serves both as an observation of the macrocosm of our environment and a reminder of the microcosm that resides within us.
It invites us to a dialogue about fragility and resilience, beauty and decay, reflecting the ongoing conversations we have with ourselves and the world around us.
The narrative is as rich and expansive as the ancient ice, that has captured time itself.

The abstract and colourful photographs show thin sections of ancient glacier ice and ultra pure water ice under cross polarised light.
They are revealing the crystal structures and grain boundaries, making the invisible visible by changing how we use and observe light.

The interdisciplinary project was realised in collaboration with scientists from the PSI Paul Scherrer Institut in Villigen CH and Prof. em. Dr. Margit Schwikowski.
